You are FORGIVEN!

 The Waiting Series

#1 March

You are forgiven!

How many times have you let go of Abba’s gifts and blessings because of that feeling of not being worthy?

Like Joy, many are like her…

Worn out and tired, she kept rolling on her bed. From side to side. She slowly opened her eyes wishing all the thoughts were mere imaginations.

No, they were possibilities.

Who will want a girl like me? She reached for her slippers and walked into the bathroom like a helpless child.

Maybe I am helpless after all.

She knew the truth better than that lie, but how do you taste the sweetness of the truth when your mouth is filled with wormwood?

The lady she was starring at in the mirror looked very different from the one her SH called beautiful just a while ago. Maybe she was looking in the wrong mirror. Truth is she’s been looking too long in the wrong mirror to remember the one her SH calls beautiful.

She took a wipe from the pack on the mirror stand. Trying to wipe out her tears, another rolled.

She screamed and hoped the neighbours would not hear her. Throwing herself on the bed, she rolled the duvet away and reached for her phone beside the reading lamp, close to the bed.

She typed fast as though there was an emergency, HOW TO FORGET THE PAST

Google was kind enough to respond in split seconds. She kept scrolling and scrolling, taking it all in like a pill she needed to kill this pain, her past.

I am all that you need and more.

She ignored Him for the umpteenth time.

Joy, I am here.

The information she got didn’t take the memories away. She slowly dropped the phone and went down on her knees. “Sweet Holy Spirit, if you’re here then why is the pain in my heart so much?” Trying hard to breathe. The weight of this guilt was suffocating her.

Don’t throw this gift away.

“You see… You call him a gift, but look at me. Who will want a girl like me?” She stuttered.

The several abortions haunted her the most. How would she be able to tell him all about it. Oh, how dirty he’ll view me.

“SH, how will he view me? What will he think of me?”

You are asking so many questions. Look into the mirror.

She rushed into the bathroom. Starring at herself in the mirror, she realized her folly. He meant THE MIRROR.

She’s been looking into the wrong mirror for a long time.

You are beautiful.

This time she literally melted, and managed a smile. “SH!”

She blushed and for a moment let herself take in those words.

Anyone listening to her for a while now will definitely think she’s nut.

No, she’s not. She’s been conversing with her SH, her Sweet Heart, her Sweet Holy Spirit.

How did I believe those lies for so long? She had let guilt eat so deep into her. She had let the enemy feed her with his lies that mirrored a mirage to her. A mirage of herself.

She got up from the bed, picked her bible and her devotion journal. She started to look into the true mirror of her life, her reality. She read it out loud.

She reached for her phone. Not google this time.

She opened the bible app on her phone and read the Amplified version of the scripture SH had given her.

Who will bring any charge against God’s elect (His chosen ones)? It is God who justifies us [declaring us blameless and putting us in a right relationship with Himself].

- Romans 8:33 (AMP)

She wept when the reality hit her.

YOU ARE FORGIVEN!

“I am forgiven! I am forgiven! I am forgiven!” She paced the room as she declared her reality.

Call him and tell him everything from this standpoint, ‘you are forgiven!’

For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

I Cor 13:12 (NKJV)

  1. I had a similar situation sometimes last year, with the current security situation in the country I had doubts in me, something within was telling me I was not ready, I was depressed and annoyed with everything around me, then I called my dad spoke to him about it and he reassured me with Isaiah 40:31 and I regained my confidence...
The scriptures tells us who we truly are in Christ Jesus through the help of the holy spirit...

    1. Hmm... Wow, thank you so much for sharing Dear Abba's Pride.
So many times, situations or circumstances yell the exact opposite of our reality in God to us, but we have to keep looking into the Mirror of God's Word to remind ourselves who we truly are.
      God bless you.

      Grace to you.

Wheels of Faith (a short story)- Ep 2

The Waiting Series   #Episode 2 Wheels of Faith  (a short story) Photo by Lum3n Beauty in chaos   “Oh, sorry… I’m Tolu. Toluwani Obim.   I’m currently part of a project for young people battling with suicidal thoughts.”  “Oh, wow, that’s a lot. Okay…?” She hoped he got the message. Why are you calling me? Who gave you my number, and why are you calling today of all days? Please, can you go straight to the point already! “I saw some of your art works at Twains store yesterday.” He sounded impressed. “I believe your artwork would surge many damped hopes.” Valery chuckled. Yeah right. Like it is surging mine right now. Holding the phone with her right hand, she tossed some empty cans in the waste bin with the other.   “Our team would love to work with you on a current project, if that’s fine?” Like a flash, memories of Seye flooded her again. From the voice, she could guess his age. Another young man interested in her artwork. Nah , she th...

Abéléjayán

The Waiting Series ABÉLÉJAYÁN   (The one who smokes fish for another)     Falling in love with a co-worker     Dear Abba’s Daughter,    Abéléjayán is a Yoruba word (South West Nigeria) which literally means you’re caring for someone who isn’t yours. Let’s look at this a little differently. As Abba’s daughters who love the Lord, and someday desire Kingdom marriages, we need to put the horse before the cart.   Our Father already knows we deserve the best. However, He would have us ‘ smoke fish’ (purpose) for Him to satisfy His targets while we wait. Remember the waiting isn’t exactly for a man.   Just while you’re yet busy, smoking for Him, Abba gives you company, a co Abéléjayán ! Lol. Together you’ll smoke fish for a larger number of people to be satisfied with the Father’s will here on earth. In the Father’s will, there is perfect love and contentment.   Dear Abba’s daughter, seek first our Father’s will. Contrary to the wo...
